A leading financial services organization is seeking an experienced Data Governance Analyst to help drive enterprise-wide data governance initiatives and improve the accessibility, quality, and trustworthiness of critical business data.

What you'll be doing

- \n
- Managing and enhancing enterprise metadata, business glossaries, and data taxonomies
- Building and improving governance processes to support data stewardship and compliance requirements
- Supporting data lineage mapping and validation activities across key business domains
- Partnering with business stakeholders, data owners, and technology teams to improve data understanding and documentation
- Promoting adoption of data governance best practices through user training and engagement initiatives
- Supporting data quality, classification, and governance controls for sensitive information
- Contributing within Agile delivery teams, helping shape priorities and governance roadmaps

What we're looking for
\n
- \n
- Previous experience within Data Governance, Metadata Management, or Data Management teams
- Strong understanding of governance frameworks, data lineage, metadata management, and cataloguing principles
- Experience working with data catalog solutions such as Atlan, Unity Catalog, Collibra, Alation, or similar platforms
- Strong SQL skills and the ability to investigate and validate data relationships
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience operating within Agile delivery environments

Desirable Experience
\n

- Exposure to Databricks, Redshift, dbt, Fivetran, Streamlit, or comparable modern data platforms
- Knowledge of data quality and observability tooling
- Basic Python skills for analysis or automation
- Experience supporting cloud transformation or enterprise data modernisation programmes
- Familiarity with AI-enabled governance and cataloguing solutions
