The Application System Analyst will develop and maintain current systems, processes, and backups, ensuring success of daily operational processes. This position works with business and IT teams to implement new systems and procedures, review current procedures for efficiency improvements, monitor current system trends to mitigate future risks, and perform database administration tasks. As the senior member of the IT Operations team, the Application Systems Analyst’s responsibilities also include triaging escalated tickets from junior analysts, and mentoring/training junior team members on new or changed processes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
- Work with management and business teams to identify, develop, and implement operational processes to maximize user and IT efficiency
- Use generally available AI tools, scripting tools, and workflow applications to automate IT Operations processes, including but not limited to ETL, EDI, maintenance/monitoring, file transfers, and application executions
- Provide operational support for the Fund’s EDW, MS Fabric, and Power Platform environments
- Proactively identify system trends and risks to be able to advise management of mitigation options
- Timely and accurate completion of project tasks as assigned by management
- Maintain accuracy of IT Operations documentation
- Review and escalate database administration requests to the Database Administrators as required
- Be a part of the patch, upgrade, and deployment teams for various databases and applications
- Provide off-hours/weekend support as part of a rotation with other IT Operations team members
- Work with the helpdesk and end users on application implementation and support
- Work with vendors as needed for both system implementation and technical support
- Provide level II/III support of helpdesk tickets as escalated by the Application Support Analyst

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- 4 ~ 6 years of direct experience, and 1 year team lead experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
- Experience in continuous process improvement, SDLC, operationalizing processes and applications from development to production
- Experience using traditional scripting tools, workflow automation tools, and other available technologies to develop new processes and improve existing processes
- Experience consulting with business teams to develop optimal solutions for their technological needs
- Working knowledge of MS SQL Server and/or Oracle databases, with the ability to write simple queries, and possess an understanding of functions, procedures, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and recovery
- Experience with enterprise-level backup solutions, with knowledge of best practices for recoverability in a virtual environment
- The ability to support proprietary ETL applications and tools, such as Talend, Optum data products, or equivalent
- Experience developing processes using AI tools is desirable
- Windows Server administration experience a plus
- Experience in integrating operations with cloud technology a plus
- Preferred: Certification in ITIL
Salary range for this position: Salary $113,600 - $142,000. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to: relevant experience, qualifications, expertise, certifications, licenses, education or equivalent work experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
Work Schedule (may vary to meet business needs): Monday~Friday, 7.5 hours per day (37.5 hours per week) as a hybrid employee.
