The Overview:
A growing general contractor is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support construction projects from start-up through closeout.
This position works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects remain compliant, properly documented, and operationally aligned. The ideal candidate is process-driven, comfortable managing multiple active projects, and experienced in construction documentation workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Project Administration & Documentation
- Support project start-up, mobilization, and closeout processes
- Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and document control procedures
- Maintain accurate and organized job files
- Prepare and distribute meeting minutes and project correspondence
Procurement & Financial Coordination
- Coordinate procurement activities and track material deliveries
- Assist with purchase orders and contract administration
- Support invoicing processes in coordination with accounting
Scheduling & Compliance
- Maintain project tracking systems and assist with schedule updates
- Support compliance requirements for federal, state, municipal, and private projects
- Ensure documentation aligns with contractual and regulatory standards
Communication & Team Support
- Liaise between internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors
- Assist Project Managers and field leadership with administrative project needs
- Help manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years of experience in construction project coordination or related role preferred
- Working knowledge of construction processes and documentation
- Experience supporting federal, state, or municipal projects preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
