Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Location: Hybrid, Berkeley Heights, NJ (Local candidates only)

Type: Contract-to-Hire (CTH)
Duration: 6–12 Months

Job Description

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will combine software engineering and systems engineering to build and maintain reliable, scalable, and high-performance systems. You’ll be instrumental in automating operations, improving observability, and ensuring the health of mission-critical applications.

Responsibilities

Automate operational tasks and health checks to ensure sustainable systems and services.
Monitor production environments using observability tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk.
Identify reliability gaps and optimize performance through process reengineering and metric analysis.
Collaborate with DevOps teams for system design, platform management, and capacity planning.
Maintain comprehensive documentation including SOPs, configurations, and infrastructure maps.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of SRE experience, preferably in Fintech or product-based organizations.
4+ years of hands-on experience with automation tools: Python, Java, Ansible, or PowerShell.
4+ years working with observability tools: Dynatrace, Splunk, Moogsoft, or Grafana.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or 7+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills

Experience with CI/CD tools: GitLab, Harness, Nexus, Terraform, SonarQube.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for root cause analysis and proactive solutions.
Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and client interaction.
