Schedule: Part-Time | 20–30 Hours per Week
Location: Charleston, WV; White Hall, WV; Huntington, WV; Prestonsburg, KY; or Remote (for qualified candidates) Position Overview United Talent Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Quality Assurance Specialist for a healthcare client. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in medical records, healthcare administration, quality assurance, or a related field who is looking for a flexible, part-time position. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with healthcare standards. Schedule & Flexibility

• Part-time position averaging 20–30 hours per week
• Monday–Friday schedule preferred
• Flexible daytime working hours
• Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required
• Remote opportunities available for qualified candidates

Key Responsibilities

• Review and audit medical records and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews and identify discrepancies or areas requiring correction.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and sensitive healthcare records.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate findings to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor compliance with applicable healthcare policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and healthcare software to maintain records, track findings, and manage documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and support ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
• Work independently to manage assigned tasks and meet established deadlines.
• Perform additional administrative and quality assurance duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in medical quality assurance, medical records, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Ability to quickly learn new technology, software, and healthcare systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems is a plus.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.
