Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking an Assistant Project Manager for HVAC construction in the Phoenix area to lead small commercial retrofit and special projects from start to finish while supporting senior project managers on large mechanical work.
Impact
- Move smaller, high-priority projects forward without pulling resources from major construction.
- Prevent field delays by keeping RFIs, submittals, and change orders moving.
- Protect margins through disciplined procurement and vendor management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain schedules in Microsoft Project or equivalent.
- Create, track, and manage design submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Coordinate designers, subcontractors, and vendors for timely installation information.
- Partner with Quality Control on project documentation.
- Manage procurement of equipment and materials with strict inventory control.
- Review and approve design submittals against contract specifications.
Must-Haves
- Project engineering or assistant PM experience on commercial HVAC work.
- Comfort running a small project independently.
- Scheduling and document control skills.
Nice-to-Haves
- Service or special projects background.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
Compensation and Logistics
Competitive salary depending on experience. Medical, dental, and vision. Full-time, onsite in the Phoenix area.
