Position Overview
Works as an operator in training or assistant operator by performing the following duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow the direction of the Lead Operator and the Shift Supervisor.
- Help break down jobs.
- Ensure ink is removed from screens, squeegees, and flood bars.
- Help move ink in screens while jobs are running on the machine.
- Clean squeegees and flood bars.
- Unload for Operators when appropriate.
- Understand that different styles and sizes require different placements.
- Learn to identify quality issues with both the garment and the print.
- Learn to consistently load garments straight and in the same position onto the machine pallets while the machine is running.
- Understand proper squeegee selection.
- Fill out Tech Sheets to record how designs are printed, when necessary.
- Change pallet tape and pallets as necessary.
- Help maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Demonstrate commitment to company values.
- Quality Control: Monitor your own work to ensure quality. Look for ways to improve and promote quality. Apply feedback to improve performance and demonstrate a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.
- Safety & Security: Always follow current safety and security procedures. Determine appropriate action beyond guidelines. Report potentially unsafe conditions and use equipment and materials properly.
- Qualifications: To qualify for this position, one must be able to read, write, apply common sense, and comprehend simple instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form. Must be able to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers, and effectively present information one-on-one or in small groups. Must be self-motivated and able to prioritize. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and work with percentages.
- Work on special projects as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by (functional area senior management team member).
- Communicate production issues, quality concerns, or equipment needs to the supervisor promptly.

Physical Requirements
- This job operates in a production environment and is frequently exposed to moving parts. The noise level in the environment is moderate. This role routinely uses equipment.
- The employee is required to stand and use their hands.
- The employee is frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms, reach above shoulder level.
- The employee is frequently required lift up to 40 pounds.
- The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and smell.
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close, distance, color vision and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:
- Full-time position.
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
