What challenges will you tackle?
- Confirm operators are executing inspections and tests correctly to maintain control over materials, parts, packaging, palletization, and labeling.
- Guard traceability by ensuring Production completes accurate records in line with procedures.
- Verify that every product label is printed correctly with all required information.
- Evaluate held product to determine alignment with customer specs and internal standards.
- Support resolution of internal and external quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Advance continuous improvement: contribute to SPC, capability studies, and QMS activities.
- Perform random audits on known-problem jobs; partner with Manufacturing Supervisors, Managers, and Engineering on improvements.
- Execute control plan checks and log results precisely and promptly.
- Oversee quality of parts packed into finished goods to maintain a Zero Defects benchmark.
- Carry out visual, dimensional, and color inspections per documented procedures.
- Complete daily machine audits to confirm proper setup and standard adherence.
- Ensure all processes run within established quality standards to drive Zero Defects.
- Document audit findings and communicate outcomes to the right supervisors.
- Quarantine nonconforming product per procedure and alert Quality and Production Supervisors of rejects.
- Handle additional assignments from the Quality Manager as needed.

- Accurate color recognition; able to pass a color vision test with “Normal” results.
- Ability to learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Comfort reading safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and procedures.
- Clear, accurate writing for reports, forms, and correspondence.
- Foundational math skills: proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Basic computer competency and familiarity with office/quality software.
- Skilled in using measurement tools and equipment to verify product characteristics.
- Practical problem-solving; follow written, oral, and diagram-based instructions.
- Ability to navigate multi-variable issues in standardized situations.
- Strong communicator who collaborates positively with teammates and supervisors.
- Motivated to pursue ongoing training and skill upgrades.

Where and when you’ll work
- Site: Ankeny, Iowa (climate-controlled facility)
- Third shift (overnight) with shift differential
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts
- Moderate noise environment
