Position Overview
We’re looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our West Coast Permitting team. In this role, you’ll independently manage your own projects with the support of a supervisor or more senior PM in delivering seamless permitting solutions across a variety of commercial construction projects. You’ll play a key role in keeping projects on track, communicating with municipal agencies, and maintaining momentum from start to finish.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in the preparation and submission of permit packages
- Perform due diligence, create permit checklists, and update project tracking tools
- Act as a liaison with city departments and monitor project statuses
- Maintain documentation including meeting minutes and permit logs
- Support project progress through scheduling, quality control, and follow-ups
- Serve as backup to Project Managers when needed
What You’ll Bring
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in construction administration or project coordination
- Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Familiarity with permit submittals, building/zoning codes, and reading construction drawings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Experience working with municipal agencies and permitting portals
- Knowledge of California jurisdictional processes
Work Environment & Schedule
- This position is based in Beverly Hills, CA, and is hybrid.
- Standard schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional overtime.
- Minimal travel required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $58,000 – $65,000 annually, based on knowledge, skills, and experience.
