Client Summary:
This client is a global IT services, consulting and business solutions organization that has been partnering with many of the world’s largest businesses in their transformation journeys.
Position Type: Onsite, Contract – W2 only
Location: Irving, TX.
Duration: 6-Months
Work Eligibility: U.S. Citizen, or Green Card holder
Responsibilities:
- Write, test, and debug PL/SQL code, including stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
- Optimize SQL queries for performance, ensuring efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
- Analyze and optimize database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks to ensure efficient operation.
- Participate in data modeling, ensuring that data structures are well-designed and efficient.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including performance problems, data inconsistencies, and application errors.
- Collaborate with other developers, database administrators, and stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy database solutions.
- Implement security measures to protect the database and its data from unauthorized access.
- Maintain code documentation and adhere to coding standards and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest PL/SQL and Oracle database technologies and best practices.
- Participate in data migration projects, ensuring data accuracy and integrity during conversion processes.
- Develop database reports and analyze data to support business intelligence and decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering or equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience in PL/SQL and Oracle database technologies
