BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position):
Provides hands-on IT support and systems administration for the Medford Ko-Kwel Casino Resort. This includes the casino, Margaritaville and Bear Creek Golf Course. The IT Generalist serves as the local subject matter expert for IT infrastructure and enterprise applications.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promotes a safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; reports and directs safety issues to Safety Committee
- Provides local subject matter expertise on information technology applications and infrastructure.
- Maintains, and documents local information technology ecosystem.
- Assists IT architecture team with planning and administration of local systems and infrastructure.
- Acts as escalation point for local frontline IT support team.
- Provides training to local IT and business teams on IT systems and procedures.
- Reviews on-boarding, off-boarding, and other work product of local frontline IT support team for accuracy and timeliness providing additional support and training as needed.
- Participates in evaluation, selection, and implementation of systems as a project manager or project team member.
- Collaborates with IT staff in Coos Bay in order to ensure cohesive system standards, service delivery, and requestor outcomes....
- Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (objective educational or technical training required; skills; and years of experience):
- Associate's Degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and experience required.
- Three (3) years' experience administering applications and infrastructure in an enterprise environment required.
- Experience in specific applications as used by Ko-Kwel Casino Resorts preferred.
- Maintains a strict level of confidentiality regarding company information.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proven ability to provide outstanding customer service.
- Must have excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Must be a detail oriented, organized individual with the ability to multi-task.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to deal with stressful situations in a professional manner.
- Must be a Team Player.
- Display strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to handle conflict situations.
- Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT (the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Ability to work weekends, holidays and evening hours as business demands and take after hours calls at home in support of Ko-Kwel casino resort systems. While performing duties of this position, employee is required to stand for extended periods, and frequently walk, and use hands to; finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Occasionally sit. Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, manages anger, fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately.
