We are seeking a Tier 1 Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite IT support while a team member is on temporary leave. This is a short-term opportunity with a quick turnaround, ideal for an early-career IT professional looking to gain hands-on enterprise support experience. This is a temporary position expected to last 4-6 weeks.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 desktop support to internal employees, resolving technical issues through a ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to laptops, desktops, peripherals, and basic applications.
  • Perform laptop reimaging, hardware setup, and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 and Tier 3 support teams as needed and collaborate closely with other Tier 1 technicians.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and procedures accurately within the ticketing system.
  • Deliver professional, customer-focused IT support in an onsite environment.


Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of desktop or help desk support experience (Tier 1 level).
  • Hands-on experience using IT ticketing systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows environments, hardware, and basic networking issues.
  • Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in Louisville, KY.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
