OxeFit is a stealth-mode startup corporation with offices located in Florida and Texas. We are focused on delivering a first of its kind solution that will transform the strength training and fitness industry. We are building a team of talented and motivated people who will have a career-defining opportunity to build a company from the ground up.
We are looking for front-end developers to join us in building rich customer-facing web and mobile applications and experiences.
Essential Functions
- Contribute ideas and help to refine use cases and acceptance criteria
- Provide technical feedback and suggestions to designers
- Evaluate new libraries, frameworks, and services for suitability
- Translate UI/UX prototypes into fully functional HTML and CSS templates
- Design, plan, and implement user interface features using modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular
- Maintain high levels of automated unit and integration test coverage with frameworks such as Jasmine and Cypress
- Proficiency with React and modern front-end technologies (e.g., TypeScript, Redux, Zustand, React Query) with a strong focus on performance and accessibility.
- Experience integrating with Large Language Models (LLMs) such as OpenAI’s GPT APIs or similar, including prompt engineering, streaming responses, and contextual state management.
- Familiarity with conversational UI design, including chat interfaces with real-time updates, message threading, typing indicators, and prompt feedback loops.
- Hands-on experience implementing browser-based notifications, including push notifications (Web Push API), in-app alerts, and real-time messaging.
- Experience with voice-to-text integrations using tools like Web Speech API, Whisper, or third-party services (Google Cloud Speech-to-Text, Azure Speech Services).
- Competence with accessing and managing camera/microphone input using browser APIs (e.g., getUserMedia, MediaRecorder) for photo capture, video streaming, and audio recording.
- Understanding of asynchronous data flows and experience integrating with WebSockets, SSE, or other real-time communication protocols.
- Experience building responsive, mobile-first UIs that accommodate real-time interactions and media input.
- Familiarity with AI/ML user experience patterns, including human-in-the-loop feedback, loading states for inference, and multi-turn interactions.
- Comfort with security and privacy best practices around handling user media (camera/mic), transcripts, and chat data, including permissions and fallback strategies.

Education and Experience:
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related discipline
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficient with JavaScript or Typescript
- Proficient with design systems such as Material, Bootstrap, and Tailwind
- Proficient with testing frameworks such as Cypress, Jasmine, or Selenium
- Experience managing application state
- Experience consuming REST APIs
- Experience with server-push technologies such as SignalR or Socket.IO
- Experience with full-stack debugging using tools such as Kibana, Postman, and database queries (SQL, MongoDB)
What makes you stand out:
- Experience with layout, styling, or graphic design
- Experience with design tools such as Figma, Canva, Sketch, and Adobe XD
- Startup experience — Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, rapidly prototype features, and make pragmatic technical decisions under evolving product requirements.
- Contributions to open-source projects or developer tools in the React or AI tooling ecosystem.
