Job Description

Data Analyst II ( Pipeline)

Most organizations drown in dashboards and still can't answer the question that matters. This role builds the ones that do, and sets the standard for how it's done.

Snapshot

  • Location: Washington, DC (On-site)
  • Engagement: Full-time
  • Compensation: $95K - $110K
  • Benefits: Full Benefits
  • Anticipated start: Fall 2026

**Please note: this is a pipeline role. We're sourcing now for an anticipated engagement expected to begin around October 2026. It is not open for an immediate start. We're building a strong candidate pool ahead of time so we can move fast once the engagement is confirmed. If your background is a fit, we want to connect early, keep you posted as timing firms up, and be ready to move the moment the role goes live.

About the Role

We're looking for a senior Data Analyst to lead data-informed decision-making across a large, complex public-sector environment. You'll own the harder analyses, set the standard for how data gets modeled and visualized, and act as the stakeholder-facing voice who translates findings into recommendations leadership can move on. This role carries more autonomy and more direct exposure to senior stakeholders than an entry-level seat, and you'll help raise the bar for the analysts working alongside you. You'll report to our project manager and provide on-site support in Washington, DC.

What You'll Own

  • Lead data-driven studies, assessments, and research that inform decisions, resource allocation, and operational improvement.
  • Integrate, validate, and analyze data across sources; build the models and analyses that explain performance, not just describe it.
  • Design and govern dashboards, reports, scorecards, and visualizations in Tableau and Power BI, and set standards others follow.
  • Drive data governance, data quality, and reporting; expand data accessibility, transparency, and effective use across the organization.
  • Define and evaluate performance metrics, key indicators, and analytical frameworks spanning operational, technical, cost, feasibility, and risk factors.
  • Apply Six Sigma, DMAIC, and maturity-model best practices; lead knowledge transfer and training that build lasting analytical capability.

What You Bring

  • 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or data visualization.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Advanced, hands-on proficiency with Tableau and Power BI (required). Advanced statistical programming in R or Python is not required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS/CBP Suitability
  • Local to the Washington, DC metro area and able to work on-site.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive-ready communication.

Bonus Points

  • Track record leading analytics delivery inside consulting, advisory, or complex public-sector environments.
  • Currently holds a Top Secret or DHS Suitability Clearance.
  • Depth in data governance, performance management, or evidence-based decision-making.
  • Experience with predictive, optimization, or decision-support modeling.
  • Comfort using AI tools in your analytical or delivery workflow.
