The Technology Technician supports the configuration, setup, and troubleshooting of Automated Teller Machine (ATM) software and network connectivity. This role works alongside installation crews but focuses on technology setup rather than physical equipment installation.
Key Responsibilities
ATM Software Setup
· Configure and initialize ATM operating systems and application software· Load ATM software images and updates according to client specifications · Set up ATM parameters including terminal IDs, host configurations, and network settings · Coordinate with banking IT teams for system activation and testingTechnical Troubleshooting
· Diagnosing and resolving ATM software or communication issues· Troubleshoot network connectivity (IP settings, routers, modems, cellular connections)· Identify and correct configuration errors during installation or deployment · Perform system diagnostics and testing to verify proper operationField Technology Support
· Support installation teams during ATM deployments · Assist with system bring-up and first transaction testing · Communicate with bank support centers, processors, and service providers · Document technical issues and resolutionsDocumentation & Reporting
· Maintain accurate records of software configuration and setup · Complete installation checklists and technology verification reports · Report on technical issues and recommended solutions
Qualifications
· 1–2 years of experience in IT support, field technology, or technical systems configuration · Experience troubleshooting software or network issues preferred · ATM or banking technology experience is a plus but not required Technical Skills
· Basic networking knowledge (IP addresses, routers, modems) · Windows-based systems experience · Ability to install and configure software applications · Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Other Requirements
· Ability to travel to job sites throughout the Midwest · Valid driver's license · Strong communication skills working with clients and support teams · Ability to work independently in the fieldPreferred Background
