Job Description

An early-stage AI startup providing an AI Agent platform for enterprise manufacturers is looking for a Deployment Engineer / Field Engineer to work directly on the frontlines at client manufacturing sites.

Position: Deployment Engineer (Technical Deployment & Field Engineering)

\n

Location: Remote / Client Site Travel (US or Japan based)

\n

Travel Requirement: 80%+ (On-site at client plant sites during active deployments)

\n

Working Hours: Flexible / Output-driven startup environment

\n

Compensation: $100,000 – $150,000 Base Salary + 1.0% – 2.0% Stock Options (Negotiable) Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision (Tailored coverage), Retirement plan in development

Role Overview:

\n

    \n
  • Interview plant managers and operations teams to identify core bottlenecks.
  • \n

  • Design AI agent deployments and run rapid PoC (Proof of Concept) prototypes.
  • \n

  • Feed critical customer insights and technical requirements back to the core product engineering team.
  • \n

\n


\n

Key Qualifications:

\n

    \n
  • Degree in CS, Engineering, or related STEM field (KOSEN / University degree or equivalent experience).
  • \n

  • Background as a Software Engineer at major automakers/manufacturers OR background in Production Engineering and plant operations.
  • \n

  • Ability to build light software/scripts and AI-assisted prototypes to test solutions.
  • \n

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to discuss requirements with enterprise leadership and plant managers.
  • \n

  • English communication proficiency.
  • \n

Preferred:

\n

    \n
  • Japanese language skills (A major plus for interfacing with Japanese clients and expats).
  • \n

  • New graduates are welcome if they have entrepreneurship experience or hands-on experience building with AI development tools.
  • \n
