About the Role
\n
Seeking a Systems Engineer III to support defense and aerospace systems engineering activities, focusing on system architecture, requirements management, systems integration, and verification and validation. Candidates must be located within commuting distance of one of the listed hubs and be available to work onsite as required.

Key Responsibilities
\n

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop system architectures for defense and aerospace applications.
- Coordinate the integration of subsystems and technologies to ensure functionality and interoperability.
- Define, analyze, document, and manage system requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support requirements traceability, configuration management, and engineering documentation.
- Identify technical risks and support risk assessment and mitigation activities.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, and test plans.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to align project goals and deliverables.
- Plan and execute verification and validation activities to ensure systems meet specified requirements.
- Support system lifecycle management, upgrades, maintenance planning, and performance monitoring.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and recommend improvements to system performance and reliability.

Qualifications
\n

- Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, preferably Aerospace, Electrical, Systems, Computer, or Software Engineering.
- Experience in systems engineering, system design, development, or system integration.
- Knowledge of requirements management, requirements analysis, and traceability.
- Experience with systems integration, testing, verification, and validation.
- Familiarity with tools such as IBM DOORS, SysML, MATLAB, Simulink, JAMA, or Cameo Systems Modeler.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical documentation, and communication skills.
- Computer Integration and Test experience preferred.
- Bash scripting experience is a plus.
- Must be located near one of the listed hubs and able to meet hybrid onsite requirements.

Compensation
\n
- \n
- Estimated hourly range: $60–$70/hr.
- Final rate will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.
