Senior Power BI / DAX Developer
Location: District of Columbia (Washington, D.C.) 2–4 Days Onsite
Duration: Long Term
Position Summary:
Seeking a Senior Power BI / DAX Developer to build and optimize enterprise BI solutions, dashboards, semantic models, and reporting. The role requires strong Power BI, DAX, SQL, data modeling, Oracle, and Databricks experience, along with the ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and paginated reports.
- Build DAX measures, semantic models, star schemas, fact/dimension models.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, CTEs, joins, and window functions.
- Work with on-prem Oracle and cloud platforms such as Databricks.
- Implement data governance, RLS, data security, and access controls.
- Define KPIs and reporting requirements with business stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, and mentoring.
Required Skills:
- 7–10 years of BI/Analytics experience.
- Expert Power BI + DAX.
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
- Experience with Oracle and Databricks.
- Knowledge of semantic layers, star schema, RLS, data governance, and security.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
Preferred: Azure experience, Power BI architecture/governance, and mentoring experience.
