We are seeking a motivated Junior IT Support Specialist to join our team in a part-time capacity. This role will provide essential technical support for both of our Bay Area offices (San Francisco and San Rafael) and remote users, working collaboratively with our outsourced help desk team to ensure smooth IT operations across the organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support for desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other office equipment
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for both in-office and remote employees
  • Assist with printer maintenance, setup, and troubleshooting
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of IT equipment and supplies
  • Coordinate with our outsourced help desk team for escalated issues and complex problems
  • Set up and configure new workstations and equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance on office technology
  • Document support activities and maintain help desk tickets
  • Assist with basic network connectivity issues
  • Support mobile device setup and troubleshooting

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in IT support or help desk environment
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
  • Familiarity with common office software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting
  • Experience with printer setup and maintenance
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting remote users via remote desktop tools
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and domain environments
  • Basic understanding of mobile device management
  • Customer service experience in a professional environment
