Position Summary Our client is seeking a Project Coordinator to support precast concrete projects through drafting, detailing, documentation, and cross-functional coordination. This role works closely with Project Management, Engineering, Plant Operations, contractors, clients, and erection teams to keep projects accurate, organized, and on schedule. The ideal candidate has experience with precast concrete, structural steel, or construction projects and is proficient with AutoCAD and Revit.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate erection drawings based on estimates, contracts, specifications, addenda, and project drawings.
- Review contract documents and develop RFIs to clarify project requirements.
- Participate in coordination meetings with clients and design teams.
- Compare project progress against bid estimates and communicate quantity, material, or scope deviations.
- Coordinate the ordering of embed plates and loose materials to support fabrication and delivery schedules.
- Serve as a liaison among internal departments, contractors, and erectors.
- Coordinate nonstandard production requirements with Plant Management.
- Work with Project Managers and Engineers to resolve casting issues, field challenges, and technical concerns.
- Lead pre-pour production meetings when required.
- Review piece drawings for accuracy and compliance.
- Support project scheduling and help resolve workflow conflicts.
- Develop and detail project components with a focus on cost reduction, constructability, and production efficiency.
- Track project risks, resources, costs, deliverables, and stakeholder requirements.
Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in precast concrete drafting, detailing, or modeling.
- Related structural-steel or construction experience supporting multi-trade infrastructure projects will also be considered.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and addenda.
- Experience preparing erection drawings, piece drawings, RFIs, or related technical documents.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across Engineering, Project Management, Production, and field teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- AutoCAD, Revit, or Autodesk certification preferred.
