Job DescriptionWe are looking for an IT Support Specialist to provide dependable technical assistance for a government environment in Imperial Beach, California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys resolving user issues, supporting desktop systems, and delivering responsive service across daily support needs. The role focuses on maintaining Windows-based workstations, assisting with account-related requests, and ensuring service tickets are handled accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
• Provide front-line technical support for end users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and access-related issues.
• Manage user account support tasks within Active Directory, including updates to permissions, passwords, and account status.
• Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft Windows desktops and laptops to support reliable day-to-day operations.
• Troubleshoot Windows 10 system problems and deliver timely solutions that minimize user downtime.
• Receive, document, prioritize, and close service desk tickets while keeping accurate records of work performed.
• Escalate more complex technical matters when needed and coordinate with other support resources to ensure resolution.
• Assist with workstation setup, device replacements, and routine technical support activities across the office environment.• Experience providing help desk or desktop support in a detail-oriented IT setting.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory for common user administration tasks.
• Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows, including Windows 10 environments.
• Ability to perform basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, and user access issues.
• Familiarity with service desk ticketing processes and maintaining clear support documentation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to assist users in a clear and detail-oriented manner.
