Position Summary

Northedge Steel is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Project Coordinator to oversee projects from the point of sale through pre-installation readiness. The Project Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for customers during the project preparation phase, ensuring all construction details, documentation, and requirements are accurate and complete before the project is transitioned to the Scheduling team.

This role is responsible for reviewing project information, communicating with customers, coordinating internal departments, and proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure each project is ready for installation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review all new sales orders and contracts for accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify building specifications, site details, and customer requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers from the time of sale until the project is released for scheduling.
  • Communicate with customers to gather missing information, answer questions, and provide project updates.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Permitting, Production, and other departments to ensure all project requirements are met.
  • Review permits, engineering requirements, and supporting documentation to ensure project readiness.
  • Identify discrepancies, potential issues, or missing information and work with customers and internal teams to resolve them.
  • Maintain accurate project records and update project statuses within company systems.
  • Ensure all required documents, approvals, and project details are completed before handing off to the Scheduling team.
  • Monitor project timelines and follow up on outstanding items to keep projects moving forward.
  • Assist in improving project workflows and communication processes across departments.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive customer experience throughout the project preparation process.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of project coordination, customer service, or construction-related experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and ERP systems.
  • Experience in construction or manufacturing is preferred.
