Job Summary

\n

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Fabric Lead / Architect to define the architecture and provide technical leadership for an enterprise Microsoft Fabric implementation. The role will focus on designing Medallion Architecture, guiding the implementation team, working with vendors, and representing the client in architecture and technical discussions.

Key Responsibilites

\n

    \n
  • Define and own the overall Microsoft Fabric architecture and solution design.
  • \n

  • Architect Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) within Microsoft Fabric.
  • \n

  • Define architecture for data ingestion, transformation, storage, modeling, and analytics.
  • \n

  • Provide architectural direction and technical guidance to the implementation/execution team.
  • \n

  • Lead technical and architecture discussions with vendors and implementation partners.
  • \n

  • Review and validate vendor-proposed designs and technical solutions.
  • \n

  • Represent the client in architecture discussions and ensure solutions align with business and technical requirements.
  • \n

  • Establish architecture standards, best practices, governance, security, and scalability guidelines.
  • \n

  • Identify architectural risks, dependencies, and integration requirements throughout the implementation.
  • \n

Required Skills and Experience

\n

    \n
  • 15+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Analytics, or related areas.
  • \n

  • Strong experience as a Data/Solution Architect or Technical Lead for enterprise data platforms.
  • \n

  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric architecture and implementation.
  • \n

  • Strong experience designing and implementing Medallion Architecture.
  • \n

  • Expertise with OneLake, Lakehouse, Fabric Data Warehouse, Data Factory/Pipelines, notebooks, semantic models, and Power BI.
  • \n

  • Strong knowledge of Azure data services, data integration, data modeling, security, and governance.
  • \n

  • Experience architecting large-scale enterprise data platforms.
  • \n

  • Experience leading and providing technical direction to implementation teams.
  • \n

  • Strong experience working with and evaluating solutions proposed by vendors and implementation partners.
  • \n

  • Excellent client-facing communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.
  • \n

  • Must be able to work on-site in Houston, TX.
