Job Description

Infleqtion (NYSE: INFQ) · engaged through Nspired Tech Solutions

\n

Full-time contract · contract-to-hire potential

\n

Boulder/Louisville, CO or Chicago, IL

\n

Hybrid office hours

\n

\n

Our client is a publicly traded quantum technology company that just went public and is building the operating muscle to match its scientific expertise. It is a deep-tech company operating in a regulated, export-controlled environment — and scaling fast. As the business grows, so do its compliance obligations. We’re looking for a senior, program-level operator to structure and drive the company’s government compliance readiness — multiple parallel workstreams — from the ground up.

\n

\n

About the Company

\n

Infleqtion (NYSE: INFQ) is a quantum technology company headquartered in the Boulder, Colorado area, commercializing atomic clocks, quantum sensing, and quantum computing for commercial and government customers. Newly public, PhD-dense organization, and scaling fast — with the enterprise-systems buildout that comes with that arc. You'll be engaged as a contractor through Nspired Tech Solutions, the IT consulting partner standing up the company's project execution capability, and you'll work directly with the IT leader as your day-to-day sponsor— a senior enterprise CIO heading the buildout.

\n

\n

The Opportunity

\n

Hands-on IT project manager who delivers compliance, business-systems, and IT projects for a lean team. You own the plan, the follow-ups and the status, and you flag risk early.

\n

\n

Nspired is recruiting a hands-on IT Project Manager for a public quantum technology company with offices in Louisville, Colorado, and Chicago. The IT team is lean and hands-on, with no PMO. This role delivers the CIO's priority projects across compliance, business systems, and IT operations — you'll own a portfolio of projects end to end, and the mix will shift as priorities do. This is an IT delivery role, separate from the client's subcontracts or program-management openings.

\n

\n

About the Role

\n

Twelve months from now, you will have driven a slate of high-priority systems and compliance readiness initiatives to completion in parallel. This will be the compliance foundation for a high-visibility government contractor experiencing high growth. In other words, this is a role for someone who builds.

\n

\n

The kinds of projects you'll lead:

\n

    \n
  • SOX IT controls and audit readiness — access and change-management controls, service-management workflows that produce audit evidence, and remediation tracking with control owners
  • \n

  • NetSuite and business systems — intake, access governance, segregation of duties, testing and release management for business applications
  • \n

  • Government compliance — CUI handling, NIST 800-171 / CMMC work and secure-environment projects, coordinated with security and legal
  • \n

  • IT projects with engineering and R&D — endpoint, software and infrastructure requests from technical teams
  • \n

  • Tool evaluations and vendors — real selection criteria (usability, compliance, vendor quotes, implementation effort and timeline), and holding implementation partners to dates
  • \n

  • Policies and documentation — keeping IT and security policies current through review and sign-off
  • \n

\n

\n

What You'll Own:

\n

    \n
  • Run program-level orchestration across those workstreams — integrated roadmap, cross-workstream dependency management, and unified status and risk reporting to executive stakeholders
  • \n

  • Decompose a broad compliance mandate into discrete, parallel workstreams with clear scope, owners, sequencing, and dependencies
  • \n

  • Drive SOX readiness workstreams end-to-end — control documentation, gap assessment, remediation tracking, and audit preparation
  • \n

  • Lead government/regulatory compliance readiness initiatives in partnership with Legal and IT
  • \n

  • Interview process and control owners across Finance, IT, and Operations; document current state and close documentation gaps
  • \n

  • Produce the documentation, process maps, control narratives, SOPs, and other supporting compliance deliverables
  • \n

  • Build and run the program structure — plans, status cadence, risk/issue tracking — that keeps readiness work visible and moving
  • \n

  • Get hands-on with systems: understand access models, workflows, and data flows well enough to document and test controls yourself
  • \n

  • Leverage technology and AI to streamline the work — automating evidence collection, accelerating documentation, and building lightweight tooling instead of throwing hours at manual processes
  • \n

  • Coordinate internal teams and external auditors/consultants supporting compliance efforts
  • \n

  • Establish repeatable compliance practices the company can carry forward
  • \n

\n

\n

How you'll work:

\n

    \n
  • Work the CIO's priority list first; raise risk early, with options and a recommendation
  • \n

  • Run a short weekly status that leadership doesn't have to chase: done, at risk, what you need
  • \n

  • Bring stakeholders a clear position with an owner and a date — not a list of open concerns
  • \n

  • Check what already exists (contracts, prior work) before starting something new
  • \n

  • Use AI tools to move faster; nothing goes out without your own review
  • \n

\n

\n

What success looks like:

\n

    \n
  • First 30 days: every active project mapped with its owner, real status and next date
  • \n

  • First 90 days: delivering against an agreed plan, with audit evidence on time
  • \n

  • Ongoing: auditors, finance and engineering trust the dates you give
  • \n

\n

\n

What We're Looking For:

\n

    \n
  • 7+ years delivering IT projects hands-on, from plan to handover
  • \n

  • Delivered compliance, audit-readiness or security remediation (SOX ITGC, PCI, NIST, CMMC or similar) through at least one external audit
  • \n

  • A concrete example of raising risk early and driving a decision
  • \n

  • Program-level experience — you’ve structured and run multiple concurrent workstreams under one umbrella, not a sequence of single projects, and built that structure from an unstructured starting point
  • \n

  • Senior-level project management experience in IT, compliance, or regulated environments
  • \n

  • Comfortable working in the tools as they are, deferring to specialists, and running without coordinator support
  • \n

  • Technical enough to be dangerous: you can read a system, understand an access model, and draft an ITGC narrative without an engineer holding your hand
  • \n

  • A builder's instinct for efficiency — you use modern tools (including AI) to compress documentation, evidence, and tracking work, not just manage it manually
  • \n

  • Comfortable in ambiguity: you build structure where none exists, and you're as happy interviewing a process owner as you are updating a control matrix
  • \n

  • Strong cross-functional communication — Finance, Legal, IT, and executives
  • \n

  • U.S. person (citizen or green-card holder)
  • \n

\n

\n

Preferred:

\n

    \n
  • Government Contractor experience is a strong plus
  • \n

  • Familiarity with federal/government compliance frameworks is a strong plus
  • \n

  • PMP, CSM, or comparable delivery credential
  • \n

  • SOX IT change management
  • \n

  • NetSuite or other ERP delivery
  • \n

  • CMMC, NIST 800-171, CUI or ITAR
  • \n

  • Freshservice or ServiceNow, and Jira
  • \n

\n

\n

Why This Role:

\n

    \n
  • Ground-floor compliance program build at a company at a genuine inflection point — public-company obligations, fast growth, real stakes
  • \n

  • Direct access to leadership; your work is visible and consequential
  • \n

  • Strong likelihood of contract extension or conversion for the right person
  • \n

\n

\n

This probably isn't for you if:

\n

    \n
  • You want to run a PMO or manage other project managers
  • \n

  • You'd rather facilitate ceremonies than own deliverables
  • \n

  • You need a fully defined scope before you start
  • \n

\n

\n

Engagement:

\n

    \n
  • Structure: full-time hours, contract through Nspired Tech Solutions; 6-month initial term with extension and contract-to-hire potential
  • \n

  • Start: Targeting August 2026
  • \n
