Essential Role (The Main Idea):

To guide projects with technical leadership, design sensitivity, and collaborative problem-solving, ensuring each project is thoughtfully executed from concept through construction while supporting client's mission of purpose-driven design.

Collaborating closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams

Responsibilities:

Project Leadership + Technical Design:

Engage in early project planning and design development
Translate conceptual design into coordinated construction documents
Lead technical detailing, code analysis, and documentation strategy
Coordinate consultant teams and interdisciplinary project information
Maintain quality control throughout documentation phases
Participate in construction administration, including submittals, RFIs, and site observations
Support clear and effective graphic communication standards

Team Collaboration + Mentorship:

Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and consultants
Guide and mentor emerging team members
Foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's and Master's degree in architecture
Licensed Architect (Michigan licensure preferred)
12+ years of professional architectural experience
Strong technical expertise in construction documentation and detailing
Advanced proficiency in Revit and SketchUp
Experience coordinating consultants and managing complex project documentation
Construction administration experience required
Specification preparation experience preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
A desire to contribute to a mission-driven architectural practice.
