Job Description Job Title: Heavy Civil Project Manager (with Bridge experience) Employment Type: Full Time Pay: $DOE per yes Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm Job Summary: The Heavy Civil Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and closeout of complex heavy civil construction projects, with a strong emphasis on bridge and transportation infrastructure. This position provides overall leadership for project scope, schedule, budget, contracts, procurement, safety, quality, risk management, and stakeholder coordination Key Responsibilities: · Lead the planning, execution, and closeout of heavy civil and bridge construction projects from preconstruction through final turnover. · Establish project execution strategies, budgets, schedules, staffing plans, procurement requirements, and performance objectives. · Manage project financial performance, including cost control, forecasting, cash flow, commitments, productivity, and profitability. · Direct project teams consisting of superintendents, project engineers, subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and field personnel. · Administer prime contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders, including scope management, negotiations, claims, and commercial risk. · Develop and maintain detailed CPM schedules, monitor critical path activities, and implement recovery strategies when required. · Coordinate construction activities involving bridge structures, foundations, earthwork, utilities, roadway improvements, drainage, and associated infrastructure. Required Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. · 7–12+ years of progressive heavy civil construction/project management experience, including significant bridge experience. · Demonstrated experience managing complex bridge and transportation projects from preconstruction through completion. · Strong understanding of bridge construction means and methods, including foundations, piling, drilled shafts, concrete structures, reinforcing steel, structural steel, girders, decks, joints, and related work. · Experience managing DOT, state, municipal, or federally funded transportation projects preferred. · Strong knowledge of contract administration, change orders, claims, cost control, scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor management. · Experience with CPM scheduling and critical-path management, preferably using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar software. · Ability to interpret civil, structural, geotechnical, roadway, drainage, and bridge plans and specifications. Preferred Qualifications: PE, PMP, CCM, DBIA, or other relevant professional certification is a plus.
