The Position: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technician to join our facility in Bessemer, AL. This individual will play a critical role with the ramp up of a new factory. This Individual will Owns product integrity through comprehensive inspection programs, supplier quality management, and scrap control systems. This role ensures that all products leaving the facility meet customer specifications and quality standards while driving continuous quality improvement through data analysis and feedback loops with manufacturing and suppliers.

\n Responsibilities
\n
:· Perform quality inspections at critical control points throughout the production process using appropriate measurement tools and techniques
\n
.· Create and maintain quality check procedures that define inspection criteria, measurement methods, and acceptance standards
\n
.· Manage control charts and statistical process control systems to monitor process capability and detect quality trends before defects occur
\n
.· Establish and maintain the onsite manufacturing feedback loop, communicating quality issues to production teams with actionable corrective actions
\n
.· Conduct incoming material and supplier quality audits to ensure raw materials and purchased components meet specifications
\n
.· Develop jigs and fixtures that enable accurate, repeatable quality inspections and reduce measurement variation
\n
.· Manage scrap tracking, root cause analysis, and corrective action systems to reduce waste and improve first-pass yield
\n
.· Document quality data and prepare reports for management review and customer quality submissions
\n

Candidate Qualifications
\n
:· Background in quality assurance or quality control within manufacturing environment, preferably in metal fabrication or assembly
\n
.· Proficiency with precision measurement instrument
\n
s· Understanding of statistical process control (SPC) principles and experience maintaining control charts
\n
.· Knowledge of quality management systems
\n
.· Experience conducting supplier audits and managing corrective action processes
\n
.· Strong attention to detail with ability to detect subtle variations in dimensions, finishes, or material properties
\n
.· Problem-solving skills using structured methods such as 5-Why, or fishbone diagrams
\n
.· Ability to communicate quality issues clearly and diplomatically to production teams and suppliers
\n
.· Demonstrated experience contributing to innovation-focused projects, including development of new products, systems, workflows, or construction methodologies
\n
.· Proven ability to generate and implement innovative ideas, improving design efficiency, constructability, automation, or manufacturing integration
\n
.· Background working in new project development, pilot programs, or early-stage project environments where requirements evolve rapidly
\n
.· Comfortable operating in a startup-like or entrepreneurial environment, characterized by fast decision-making, limited precedent, and high ownership
\n
.· Strong collaborator with the ability to communicate and work with cross-functional disciplines, including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Innovation
\n
.· High attention to detail, balanced with a solution-oriented and forward-thinking mindset
