Role Description The Project Engineer will work on-site in Mount Royal, NJ in a full-time capacity, supporting the design and implementation of floodproofing solutions for residential, commercial, and municipal projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing project plans, performing technical analyses, and ensuring designs align with NFIP, FEMA, and local code requirements. The role involves coordinating with internal teams, Certified Floodplain Managers, clients, and external partners to develop practical, compliant, and cost-effective mitigation strategies. The Project Engineer will prepare drawings, specifications, and documentation, assist with product selection, and support project planning, scheduling, and tracking. This role also includes field visits as needed, providing technical guidance during installation and addressing engineering questions throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Project Engineering and Electrical Engineering skills relevant to floodproofing and building systems.

  • Candidates should possess Project Management and Project Planning skills to coordinate timelines, resources, and deliverables.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • \n

  • Relevant experience in civil, structural, or building engineering, especially in flood mitigation, codes, or site design, is beneficial.
  • \n

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (civil, structural, electrical, or related field) or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
  • \n

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, building codes, and standards, and to use CAD or similar design software is advantageous.
  • \n

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • \n

  • Commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous learning in floodproofing best practices.
