Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Help Desk Analyst to support day-to-day technology needs for a university environment in San Diego, California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys delivering responsive desktop support, preparing equipment for new team members, and maintaining both Mac and PC laptops. The role focuses on hands-on troubleshooting across common workplace tools, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and select Adobe applications, while ensuring users receive timely and effective assistance.

Responsibilities:
• Provide front-line technical support for university staff and users, resolving desktop and laptop issues in a timely manner.
• Prepare, configure, and deploy Mac and Windows computers for new hires and existing team members.
• Support employee onboarding by setting up devices, accounts, and essential productivity tools before start dates.
• Troubleshoot and maintain applications such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Adobe software, including tools used for audio and video editing.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and related access tasks within Active Directory.
• Handle a steady volume of service requests each day, documenting work and updating ticket status through the help desk platform.
• Deliver desk-side assistance for hardware, software, and basic connectivity issues across the campus environment.
• Assist with device lifecycle activities such as reimaging, replacements, updates, and general workstation maintenance.• Experience providing hands-on help desk or desktop support in a detail-oriented environment.
• Working knowledge of both Windows and macOS laptop setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Active Directory for user account and access support.
• Ability to deploy computers and prepare systems for new user onboarding.
• Practical experience supporting Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
• Exposure to Adobe applications, particularly software used for video or audio editing, is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple support tickets each day.
• Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach to technical support.
