Job Description
Our client is an industry leading chemical manufacturer, seeking a high-potential CI Engineer for their organization. Here you'd be part of an 8-member engineering team, responsible for supporting daily production + OPEX needs at the site!
Responsibilities:
- Lead Lean projects across the plant, presenting results to upper mgmt
- Challenge conventional thinking by evaluating and setting stretch targets to drive the organization to growth opportunities.
- Support diverse teams to identify process improvement opportunities (ops, maintenance, supply chain, etc)
- Develop transformative "best practices" to drive improved productivity and scalability.
- Collaborate with leaders across operations and engineering to identify and deploy meaningful KPI's.
- Act as the project mgr for some smaller <$50k projects
- Value stream map processes to identify/eliminate waste.
To be considered, you'll need:
- BS Chemical Engineering (BSME/BSEE considered with chemicals experience)
- 3-5 years of experience in chemical mfg environment (surfactant/vegetable oil processing exposure a plus!)
- Small 50k-250k project experience a plus!
- Go to Gemba mentality with a bias for action
- US Citizen or Green Card Holder
