Job Description IT Help Desk Specialist — Entry Level
Comfort Windows & Doors is seeking an Entry-Level IT Help Desk Specialist to provide frontline technical support to employees and assist with end-user devices, business applications, internal systems, and the company’s CRM platform. This role will also support important operational functions, including documentation, asset management, and data accuracy.
The ideal candidate is technically curious, organized, detail-oriented, and service-focused, with a genuine interest in helping others resolve technical issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for computers, peripherals, end-user devices, and core business applications.
- Respond to support requests through the ticketing system, email, and phone while documenting troubleshooting steps and resolutions accurately.
- Assist with user account management, including account setup, password resets, and access permissions, while following established security policies.
- Provide basic support and troubleshooting for Salesforce CRM users and escalate more complex issues when necessary.
- Create, maintain, and update internal IT documentation and end-user knowledge base resources.
- Assist with IT inventory and asset tracking, including maintaining accurate records and conducting routine data audits across key systems.
- Deliver professional, timely, and user-friendly technical support to employees with varying levels of technical knowledge.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize multiple requests and maintain accurate records.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Strong customer service, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts, including Wi-Fi, VPN, and DNS.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including data entry, organization, and basic reporting.
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies, applications, and systems as business needs evolve.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and a commitment to providing dependable support.
