Job Description & Position Responsibilities:
Penta Research is seeking candidates to join our Next Generation Interceptor team supporting the Lockheed Martin customer. The candidate will work full-time onsite on the validation and verification effort of the high-fidelity Next Generation Interceptor Simulation in development by Lockheed Martin.
The candidate will:
- Work closely with development and product management teams to analyze and resolve product defects.
- Create and maintain V&V documentation (V&V plans, test descriptions, defect reports).
- Provide daily communication and coordination with multiple departments to obtain the required resources to accomplish the V&V activity objectives.
- Develop simulation unit tests and automated testing capability.
- Produce and present products to the Lockheed Martin and Missile Defense Agency customers.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related field
- 5+ years related experience
- Development experience with C++, MATLAB
- Knowledge of Gitlab, Visual Studio or VSCode, GTest
- Knowledge of DOORs, Cameo
- Proficient with standard office computer software (Microsoft® Office®).
- Experience with Linux
- Knowledge of standard software development and configuration management practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field
- 10+ years relevant experience
- Experience in a range of system engineering and V&V processes, including requirements definition, verification planning, test execution, test data analysis, and/or operations support.
- Knowledge of MIL-STD-3022, Verification & Validation lifecycle.

- Position location: Huntsville, AL. No travel is required for this position.
