Position Overview
\n
\n
Powerus is seeking a Data Engineer to build pipelines and data platforms for flight, test, and manufacturing data.
\n
\n
Key Responsibilities
\n
\n
- \n
- Build ingestion pipelines for flight logs, telemetry, imagery, and production test results
- Design data models and storage for time-series and file-based data
- Implement data quality checks, lineage, and retention
- Build tools that let engineers search and retrieve flights, test runs, and units
- Provide datasets to machine learning, reliability, and quality engineering
- Maintain access controls for export-controlled data

Qualifications
\n
\n
- \n
- Must be located in the United States, within commuting distance of Rock Hill, SC
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Professional experience building data pipelines in Python and SQL
- Experience with relational and time-series databases
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster
- Experience with cloud object storage and containers
- U.S. Person status required (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)); this role involves access to ITAR- and EAR-controlled technical data

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Spark, Parquet, or columnar data formats
- Experience with telemetry or sensor data
- Experience with manufacturing or test data
- Experience with AWS GovCloud or Azure Government
- Active or prior U.S. security clearance
