Role Summary


The Intern, Data Analytics and Engineering, will help organize and document Apotheco’s analytics infrastructure, with an emphasis on creating business continuity for critical Snowflake and Tableau data pipelines.


The project will translate institutional knowledge currently held by key technical resources into maintainable documentation and data lineage references. The intern will also identify and complete a limited number of low-risk improvements to improve the clarity, organization, and long-term maintainability of the reporting environment.


At the end of the internship, the company will have improved visibility into how core data flows support business reporting, a documented foundation for future analytics resources, and a demonstrated basis for evaluating the intern’s potential fit for a longer-term role.


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Participate in a structured onboarding program focused on utilizing SQL, Python, and Tableau Cloud within the context of Apotheco’s specific data domains and pharmacy operations.
  • Support the ongoing maintenance, administration, and enhancement of Apotheco’s data warehouse environment, with a focus on organization and documentation.
  • Map the flow of information from data warehousing infrastructure into Tableau Cloud extracts and dashboards, including refresh cadences and key business metrics, within a maintainable documentation environment.
  • Propose and implement low-risk cleanup, organization, and SQL optimization improvements under the guidance of the Data Analytics and Engineering Manager.
  • Support additional duties and special projects as assigned.


Education


Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Analytics, Finance, Statistics, or a related quantitative field required.


Experience

  • Relevant coursework involving introductory data analysis and programming is required.
  • This internship is designed for a candidate beginning their career and seeking hands-on experience in data analytics and engineering.

Location:

The company is rethinking the traditional work environment and offers a flexible work environment designed to support collaboration, productivity, and individual success. This role may be performed remotely from within the United States or from one of the Company’s office locations.
