Arcetyp LLC is looking for a Computer Systems Administrator. This will be onsite in Fort Knox, KY.



The U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) is implementing the Accessions Information Environment (AIE) to modernize its recruiting and processing systems. AIE aims to replace multiple legacy systems with a single, integrated platform. This initiative will enhance prospecting, processing, and future Soldier management, potentially leading to improvements in identifying and retaining qualified candidates. Join Goldbelt Glacier supporting iterative, interactive and collaborative process supporting the implementation of the AIE System using the agile software acquisition process specified in DoDI 5000.87.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Computer System Administrator, designated as Key Personnel, to support the reliable operation, configuration, and maintenance of critical computer systems. This role plays a vital part in the ongoing success of the program by ensuring system integrity, optimizing performance, and supporting data management and planning efforts. The System Administrator will also contribute to the development and enforcement of system-related policies and procedures.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of assigned computer systems in support of the program or project.
  • Maintain data files and monitor system configurations to ensure data integrity and operational stability.
  • Perform system-level analysis and troubleshoot hardware/software compatibility issues.
  • Administer and control activities related to data planning and development, including storage strategies and system documentation.
  • Evaluate system specifications, input/output processes, and interface requirements.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of system management policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical input for performance tuning, system upgrades, and future hardware/software planning.
  • Monitor system performance and resource utilization to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals, engineers, and program staff to align system operations with mission objectives.


NECESSARY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Demonstrated professional experience in the administration of large-scale computer systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of operating systems, system architecture, and enterprise IT environments.
  • Familiarity with data management principles and system planning methodologies.
  • Proven ability to support secure, compliant, and reliable IT operations in complex environments.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated professional experience in the administration of large-scale computer systems.
  • Experience with system configuration, monitoring, backup and recovery, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to successfully pass an employment background check.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working on DoD or federal government programs.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, RHCSA, or equivalent.
