Help Desk Support Specialist | Details and Compensation:

  • Location: Louisville KY 4022 – 100% on site
  • Payrate: $21.52/hr
  • Required Availability: Mon–Fri, 8 AM – 5 PM

Help Desk Support Specialist | Summary and Highlights:

The Help Desk Support Specialist role is perfect for candidates with solid IT support experience and a passion for resolving technical issues with patience and precision.

  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Help Desk Support Specialist | Responsibilities:

  • Provide front-line support for hardware, software, and systems issues
  • Troubleshoot escalated incidents from Level 1 Service Desk
  • Support and guide junior analysts
  • Monitor ticket queues and ensure timely resolution
  • Assist with software installs, backups, and tech rollouts
  • Maintain and create documentation in a knowledge base
  • Act as a liaison between end users, IT support, and management

Help Desk Support Specialist | Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED (Verifiable).
  • Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
  • 2+ years in a customer support/IT help desk role
  • Experience with Active Directory, remote desktop tools & ticketing systems
  • Proficiency in Windows 10, Office 365, Outlook
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills
  • Bonus points for certifications (Net+, CCNA, ITIL, etc.)
  • Experience with RingCentral or NICE InContact is a plus
