Job DescriptionPosition Summary
C&S Companies is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support the SESW Facilities team in San Diego. This position is for a licensed mechanical engineer with a strong business development focus and the technical capability to independently produce high-quality mechanical design deliverables in Revit.
The successful candidate will help grow C&S’s mechanical facilities presence in the California market by building client relationships, identifying and shaping opportunities, providing market intelligence, and supporting proposal and pursuit activities. The role also requires hands-on engineering leadership, including design production, coordination, quality review, and technical support throughout project delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development and Market Leadership
- Lead and support business development activities for mechanical facilities services throughout California.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, owners, architects, contractors, industry partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Identify emerging market opportunities, client needs, procurement trends, and competitive conditions in the California facilities market.
- Provide regular market insights to SESW Facilities leadership, including intelligence on prospective clients, funding opportunities, market sectors, and strategic pursuits.
- Support go/no-go evaluations, capture planning, proposal development, interview preparation, and client presentations.
- Represent C&S at client meetings, industry events, professional organizations, and networking opportunities.
- Partner with technical and operational leadership to develop pursuit strategies and position C&S for long-term client relationships.
Mechanical Engineering and Project Delivery
- Serve as a senior mechanical engineer for facilities projects from planning and existing-condition assessment through design, construction administration, commissioning, and closeout.
- Perform and oversee mechanical engineering design for HVAC, plumbing, hydronic, central plant, ventilation, equipment replacement, energy-efficiency, and related building-systems projects.
