Job Description

Assistant Technical Manager

We're looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Technical Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you'll take on many of the same duties as our Computer Technicians-handling system repairs, troubleshooting, and customer support-but with added responsibilities to support team leadership and operations. This is a hands-on position requiring technical expertise and prior experience leading a team in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Perform basic to moderately complex troubleshooting and repair tasks for desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and more.
  • Provide remote and in-person technical support to customers via phone, email, and other platforms.
  • Assist customers with hardware and software issues, including installation, printing, and OS-related challenges (primarily Windows-based).
  • Process and service all systems and malfunctioning components sent in for repair.
  • Work closely with other team members and management to ensure service goals and quality standards are met.
  • Support the Technical Manager in leading, mentoring, and motivating the technician team to meet performance and quality benchmarks.

WHAT SKILLS ARE NEEDED:

  • Proven experience leading or managing a technical support or repair team (supervisory or managerial experience is required).
  • Strong customer service background (2–3 years minimum).
  • Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for hardware and software issues.
  • Ability to confidently communicate with clients in a professional manner.
  • In-depth understanding of Windows operating systems and related software.
  • Experience with current PC hardware, system builds, and repairs.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

ATTRIBUTES WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Leadership mindset and a passion for mentoring others.
  • Self-driven with the ability to stay on task with minimal supervision.
  • Goal-oriented and performance-driven.
  • Excellent work ethic and follow-through.
  • Willingness to learn from others and share knowledge.
  • Clear communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to handle stress, multitask, and adapt quickly.

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Guaranteed base pay plus performance-based bonuses.
  • Growth and advancement opportunities into full management roles
  • Positive, high-energy workplace culture
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance eligibility after 2 months
  • And more perks you'll love

A FEW NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Hardware troubleshooting and PC repair experience required
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Local applicants only
