Azure DevOps Engineer - Docker, Microservice, Infrastructure as code
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for microservices and containerized applications
- Create and manage Docker-based build/release workflows, container registries, and deployment strategies
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or ARM/Bicep to provision and manage cloud resources
- Automate monitoring, logging, and operational support workflows (alerts, dashboards, runbooks) to improve reliability and delivery speed
- Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to standardize environments, enforce security/compliance, and optimize performance/cost
Required Skills:
- Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Boards, Artifacts) and pipeline troubleshooting/optimization
- Docker and container orchestration fundamentals (e.g., AKS concepts or equivalent experience)
- Microservices architecture principles and experience supporting service deployments
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred; ARM/Bicep is a plus) and environment management (dev/test/prod)
- Scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar)
- Strong understanding of networking, security best practices, and role-based access control (RBAC) in Azure
- Experience with monitoring/observability tooling (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics)
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert / Azure Solutions Architect) preferred
- Proven experience delivering cloud automation and DevOps implementations at scale (15+ years total experience or equivalent seniority)
