Job Overview:
InVitro Capital is seeking a strategic and execution-driven Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to lead and scale revenue operations across our portfolio of AI-native startups. As CRO, you’ll develop and drive go-to-market strategies, build high-performing sales and customer success teams, and own the revenue roadmap from early-stage traction to sustainable growth. This is a hands-on leadership role with the opportunity to shape how venture-backed companies scale from 0 to 1 and beyond. You’ll work closely with founders, product teams, and studio leadership to drive top-line performance across multiple industries.
Work Setup: On-site from Monday to Thursday; remote on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Go-To-Market Strategy Development: Design and implement full-funnel revenue strategies—including sales, marketing, and customer success—for early-stage ventures.
- Team Leadership & Coaching: Build, manage, and mentor high-performance GTM teams across multiple startups, ensuring a strong culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Revenue Operations & Forecasting: Establish the infrastructure and reporting systems needed to manage sales performance, forecast revenue, and measure pipeline health.
- Customer Acquisition & Retention: Directly support founder-led sales efforts, drive early-stage customer acquisition, and establish playbooks that enable repeatable growth.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with product, engineering, and finance teams to align customer feedback with product roadmaps, pricing strategies, and business priorities.
- Multi-Venture Leadership: Apply your expertise across multiple companies simultaneously—leveraging frameworks, insights, and systems to accelerate go-to-market success across the InVitro portfolio.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in revenue leadership roles, including VP or C-level ownership of sales and GTM strategy at fast-growing B2B SaaS or tech companies. Prior experience at early-stage or scaling ventures strongly preferred.
- Strategic & Operational Expertise: Proven ability to design and execute GTM plans from 0 to $10M+ in ARR, with hands-on experience across sales, demand generation, and customer success.
- Technical Fluency: Comfort with CRM systems, pipeline reporting, lead scoring, sales enablement platforms, and performance analytics.
- Team Leadership: Demonstrated success in hiring, developing, and managing distributed sales and GTM teams with strong results.
- Communication: Clear, concise communicator with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Venture Studio or Multi-Startup Experience: Familiarity with operating across more than one venture or leading GTM efforts in a portfolio model.
- Industry Domain Knowledge: Experience in vertical SaaS, industrial tech, automation, or complex B2B sales environments.
- Process Design & Scaling: Experience building repeatable sales processes, customer success programs, and growth experiments in fast-moving companies.
- Startup Toolset: Working knowledge of tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, Clari, or similar platforms.
