Position Purpose Summary
Responsible for ensuring that IREX staff have a stable and secure information technology environment. Responsible for aligning information technology standards and guidelines are implemented consistently across the organization, both locally and overseas. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the SharePoint & Power Platform Administrator holds a pivotal position within IREX, responsible for the technical management, optimization, and integration of IREX’s IT infrastructure. This individual will design, implement, and manage IREX’s SharePoint Online architecture to support collaboration, content management, and document retention policies. Build and maintain IREX’s SharePoint sites, libraries, and lists following governance and data classification guidelines.

- Develop Power Automate workflows to streamline manual processes and improve cross-team efficiency.
- Support internal data governance efforts by helping define standards for metadata, file structure, and naming conventions.
- Collaborate with programs and departments to understand their operational needs and create practical SharePoint-based solutions.
- Maintain proper access control across sites and content using Microsoft 365 security groups and Entra ID integration.
- Act as a resource for staff with questions about SharePoint functionality and usage, offering training or documentation as needed.
- Ensure alignment between SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and other collaboration tools across the organization.
- Monitor site usage, storage, and performance; suggest improvements or restructuring when necessary.
- Stay informed on new features, releases, and best practices within Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, and Power Platform.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on experience administering SharePoint Online in a mid- to large-sized organization.
- Demonstrated experience building and managing Power Automate workflows.
- Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, permissions models, content types, versioning, and search configuration.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams integration and OneDrive for Business within the M365 ecosystem.
- Comfortable translating non-technical needs into structured solutions that balance usability with governance.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally with operations, programs, or field teams to deliver practical IT solutions.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Groups, Entra ID, and conditional access principles is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building Power Apps applications (Canvas or Model-Driven) to support business processes and enhance SharePoint usability.
- Experience supporting or contributing to data governance initiatives.
- Experience with Power BI
- Experience working in a global or nonprofit organization with distributed teams.
- Basic understanding of information security and compliance best practices.
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The salary range for this role is $98,000 to $102,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be based on the candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and alignment with the role’s requirements.
Please note: While we aim to offer competitive compensation, not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.

This role requires regular onsite work. The selected candidate must be a full-time Washington DC-based employee, working a hybrid schedule from the DC office at least 2-3 days per week.
