HELIOS is seeking a highly experienced Configuration Management Specialist to join our dedicated team supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD). This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to vital research and development, testing, evaluation, engineering, and fleet support activities for the Navy’s ships, submarines, military watercraft, and unmanned vehicles. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing complex logistics projects within NSWCPD Code 60, which oversees the Compatibility Test Facility, ensuring the seamless delivery of innovative solutions that bolster national defense.


Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management plans and procedures in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.

- Manage configuration identification, control, status accounting, and audits for various projects and systems.

- Collaborate with engineering, testing, and logistics teams to ensure accurate documentation and traceability of all configuration items.

- Support change management processes, including review, approval, and documentation of engineering changes.

- Maintain and update configuration databases and documentation repositories.

- Conduct regular audits to verify configuration compliance and integrity.

- Provide training and guidance to team members on configuration management best practices.

- Support technical reviews and audits related to configuration control and documentation.


This is position is contingent on contract award. Veterans receive hiring preference.

Requirements:

The following are the minimum requirements for this position:

  • Possess a current, active SECRET Clearance
  • Experience working with and handling U-NNPI Information.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Shall have Bachelor's level degree in Business.
  • Five (5) years of professional experience in configuration management. The Configuration Management Specialist will work on configuration management issues associated with maintaining and controlling all hardware inventory, documentation, product releases, and software configuration management.
  • Experience working with the Configuration Control Board in defining and implementing procedures for releasing new products throughout the entire life cycle.
  • Experience and knowledge providing change management and product configuration management guidance.
