Job DescriptionDescription:

The Development Engineer converts customers concepts into practice using sound engineering knowledge while ensuring profitable manufacturing.

  • Responsible for developing new products and creating prototypes with customers.
  • Collaboration with all internal groups while leading projects from the engineering side.
  • Develop and validate internal processes to support NPI.
  • Data analysis, capability reports and presentations.
  • Oversee and complies with customer driven quality requirements.
  • Provide engineering feedback to customers from engineering designs.
  • Drawing and tolerance reviews.
  • Research and Development of process improvements.
  • Translates customer designs for manufacturability.
  • Create customer presentations for new products.
  • Some travel is required to attend and present at trade shows and/or support on-site technical customer visits.
  • Manage leads and engage potential customers, during and after the show.
  • Supports transition of products from R&D stage to production.
  • Primary technical resource (internally and externally).
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

  • Requires a multidiscipline engineering background.
  • Must have working knowledge of all phases of engineering
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
  • Ability to work with all levels of personnel from executive management to production associates.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in Medical Device industry preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience.

Working conditions

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, ambient air, fumes or airborne particles.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but occasionally high requiring safety equipment to be utilized.

Physical requirements

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and finger, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Pay: $75,000.000-$95,000/year

The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, etc.
