Job Description

We are partnering with a fast-growing international company looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to provide technical product and application support to customers and internal teams. This role works closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role focused on understanding customer applications, recommending engineered product solutions, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring products are applied effectively in real-world manufacturing environments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS:

\n


\n

Technical Application & Product Support

\n

    \n
  • Serve as a technical resource for engineered products, mechanical components, and manufacturing applications
  • \n

  • Evaluate customer requirements and recommend appropriate products and application solutions
  • \n

  • Review technical drawings, specifications, CAD models, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing documentation
  • \n

  • Advise customers on product selection, installation, operation, and optimization
  • \n

  • Apply relevant industry standards and specifications, including ISO, DIN, EN, and other applicable standards
  • \n

\n

Customer & Technical Sales Support

\n

    \n
  • Partner with customers and sales teams to understand technical requirements and identify appropriate solutions
  • \n

  • Provide technical guidance during pre- and post-sales customer engagements
  • \n

  • Support technically complex quotations, product comparisons, trials, and project evaluations
  • \n

  • Recommend alternative products or application approaches when appropriate
  • \n

  • Clearly communicate product capabilities, performance advantages, and application suitability
  • \n

Troubleshooting & Problem Solving

\n

    \n
  • Diagnose and resolve product and application-related issues in the field or remotely
  • \n

  • Conduct structured problem-solving and root cause analysis to identify technical issues
  • \n

  • Support customer complaints, returned product evaluations, and quality investigations
  • \n

  • Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to identify corrective actions and product improvements
  • \n

\n

Product & Cross-Functional Support

\n

    \n
  • Provide customer feedback, application insights, and field observations to Product Management
  • \n

  • Support new product introductions, product changes, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • \n

  • Develop technical documentation, application notes, best-practice guides, and FAQs
  • \n

  • Deliver technical training to customers, distributors, sales teams, and other internal stakeholders
  • \n

QUALIFICATIONS:

\n


\n

    \n
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • \n

  • 2–5 years of experience in applications engineering, technical service, sales engineering, product support, manufacturing engineering, or a related industrial environment
  • \n

  • Strong understanding of mechanical products, manufacturing processes, materials, tolerances, and industrial applications, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and specifications
  • \n

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend practical product or application solutions
  • \n

  • Strong customer-facing communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • \n

  • Experience with industrial hardware, machine components, standard machine elements, or related engineered mechanical products preferred
  • \n

  • Exposure to ISO-driven manufacturing, quality systems, technical quotations, Product Management, SAP, or other ERP systems is a plus
  • \n

  • Commercially minded, organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to balance technical requirements, customer needs, and multiple priorities
