Title: Enterprise Applications & Integration Lead (Subcontract at Ark Technology Consultants)

Our client is seeking an experienced Enterprise Applications & Integration Lead to serve as the senior technical leader responsible for the company's ERP platform, enterprise application ecosystem, and integration landscape.

This role will lead the administration, optimization, governance, and continuous improvement of enterprise business applications supporting manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, finance, customer service, and corporate operations.

The Enterprise Applications & Integration Lead will partner closely with IT leadership, business stakeholders, software vendors, implementation partners, and operating companies to ensure enterprise systems remain secure, reliable, scalable, well-integrated, and aligned with business objectives.

This position serves as the primary technical lead for enterprise applications and integrations and will play a key role in supporting and evolving the organization's application environment following ERP implementation. The role will provide technical guidance, solution design expertise, and operational leadership while collaborating with IT leadership on technology planning, application governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

ERP Platform Leadership & Administration

Serve as the primary technical owner of the organization's ERP platform.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain and execute the ERP platform roadmap in partnership with IT leadership.
• Establish standards and best practices for ERP configuration, administration, and support.
• Evaluate business requirements and recommend configuration, enhancement, or customization approaches.
• Coordinate upgrades, patches, releases, and testing activities.
• Ensure platform performance, reliability, and operational stability.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and support procedures.
• Support internal capability development and knowledge transfer.
• Manage relationships with ERP vendors and implementation partners.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase business value and system adoption.

Enterprise Integration Management

Lead the support and ongoing development of integrations across the enterprise application ecosystem.

Responsibilities include:

• Establish integration standards and support processes.
• Oversee system-to-system integrations across business applications.
• Support API management and integration governance activities.
• Maintain integration inventories and technical documentation.
• Monitor integration performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot complex integration issues and coordinate resolutions.
• Recommend improvements that increase scalability, supportability, and efficiency.
• Support acquisitions, system consolidations, and business integration initiatives.
• Partner with internal and external teams to ensure effective data flow between applications.

Enterprise Applications Leadership

Provide technical leadership for the company's enterprise application portfolio.

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluate new technologies and application enhancements.
• Develop standards and support practices across enterprise applications.
• Promote consistency across business units and operating companies.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve the application landscape.
• Support application modernization initiatives.
• Partner with business stakeholders to align technology capabilities with operational needs.
• Help develop long-term application roadmaps and investment recommendations.
• Support enterprise application lifecycle management activities.

Data Governance, Reporting & Analytics

Support enterprise reporting, analytics, and data management initiatives.

Responsibilities include:

• Promote data governance best practices and standards.
• Improve data quality, consistency, and integrity across enterprise systems.
• Support master data management initiatives.
• Assist with data migration and data conversion activities.
• Partner with business stakeholders to improve data stewardship processes.
• Support reporting and analytics platforms including Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop and maintain reporting standards and governance processes.
• Help enable self-service reporting and business intelligence capabilities.

Security & Compliance

Support security and compliance initiatives across enterprise applications.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain application security standards and procedures.
• Support role-based access controls and user security administration.
• Participate in audit and compliance activities.
• Assist with segregation-of-duties reviews and security assessments.
• Conduct periodic access reviews.
• Partner with IT Security to improve the enterprise application's security posture.
• Ensure systems operate in accordance with business and regulatory requirements.

Required Experience

Required

• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise business applications and ERP platforms.
• Experience leading or supporting ERP administration, implementation, or optimization initiatives.
• Experience managing enterprise integrations and connected business systems.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations and business processes.
• Experience working with software vendors, implementation partners, and business stakeholders.
• Experience with reporting, analytics, and data governance initiatives.
• Strong understanding of enterprise application design principles, integrations, and system dependencies.

Preferred

• Multi-site manufacturing experience.
• ERP implementation or major ERP upgrade experience.
• Experience supporting acquisitions, mergers, or business integrations.
• Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Power Platform.
• Experience supporting enterprise application modernization initiatives.
