This position will design, build, and enhance solutions on the ServiceNow platform that streamline operations and improve the employee experience across IT, HR, and Asset Management. The primary duties include developing workflows, configuring modules, leading integrations, and contributing to platform architecture. This role is key to scaling automation, reducing manual effort, and delivering a cohesive service experience across the organization.
This position will be based at our West Los Angeles, CA office. We work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.
Job Description
- Design and implement solutions across ServiceNow modules including ITSM, HRSD, HAM, SAM, and Employee Center, ensuring alignment with business goals and platform best practices.
- Develop and maintain workflows, catalog items, UI components, and integrations that reduce manual effort, improve efficiency, and enhance the end-user experience.
- Lead development sprints within an Agile team structure—owning backlog items, performing peer code reviews, and contributing to solution architecture.
- Drive platform automation by identifying high-impact opportunities, designing scalable solutions, and deploying enhancements with measurable results.
- Own configuration and quality of core platform components, including CMDB design, data integrity, and relationship mapping.
- Support lifecycle event automation through HR journeys, employee onboarding/offboarding, and cross-functional workflows across IT, HR, and Facilities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across IT operations, HR, procurement, and security to translate requirements into solutions delivered on time and within scope.
- Ensure platform health through proactive monitoring, timely upgrades, regression testing, and release management.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Stay current on platform capabilities, including Now Assist and other AI-enabled features, evaluating and piloting innovations that advance automation and intelligence.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience developing and configuring ServiceNow in an enterprise environment, with a focus on ITSM, HRSD, HAM, SAM, and Employee Center modules.
- Proven success in designing and implementing scalable, user-friendly ServiceNow solutions that span across multiple departments (e.g., IT, HR, Facilities, Procurement).
- Demonstrated capability to lead full-cycle development, from requirement gathering through deployment and support, in Agile/SCRUM environments.
- Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, including CMDB design, relationship modeling, and data integrity best practices.
- Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, Flow Designer, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Service Portal customization.
- Experience with integration development using REST, SOAP, and IntegrationHub, including mid-server configuration.
- Familiarity with HR Journeys, Employee Center configuration, and cross-functional catalog and knowledge design.
- Exposure to ServiceNow AI capabilities (e.g., Now Assist or AI Search) is a strong plus.
- Experience supporting ServiceNow upgrades, regression testing, and platform governance.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required; ServiceNow certifications (e.g., System Administrator, HRSD, SAM, App Engine) and ITIL Foundation certification are preferred.
Pay Range: $140,000 - $155,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
