Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine inspections of manufacturing equipment and facilities to identify potential issues or areas for improvement. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. The technician will conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as lubricating machinery, replacing worn parts, and calibrating equipment. Additionally, maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory of spare parts, is essential. Collaboration with other departments, such as production and engineering, to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure smooth operations, is also a key aspect of this role.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of manufacturing equipment and facilities.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks like lubricating machinery and replacing worn parts.
- Calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with production and engineering departments to coordinate maintenance activities.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment and facilities.
- Strong knowledge of boiler systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
- Experience in TIG welding with ability to perform welding repairs.
- Solid understanding of electrical systems and the ability to diagnose and fix electrical issues.
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Expertise in CMMS systems to track and manage maintenance activities.
- Ability to use TIG welding skills for performing necessary repairs.
- Familiarity with boiler systems for troubleshooting and repairs.

Work Environment
This role is set in a hot, dusty, non-climate-controlled older manufacturing environment. There are times when wearing mandatory personal protective equipment, such as respirators or masks, is required.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Springfield, KY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
