Salary Range: $47,000 - $52,000

POSITION PURPOSE

The Development Associate is a key member of the fundraising team, responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the donor database and supporting the organization’s development goals. This role ensures timely and accurate gift processing, donor record management, and data reporting, while also providing essential administrative support to the development team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and passionate about using data to drive donor engagement and fundraising success. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage data entry, record management, and gift acknowledgement processes for all forms of gifts including entry of checks, credit cards, ACH’s, stock gifts, and pledges, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Routinely monitors database to ensure donors information is correct and any cleanup
  • Pull and enter data/documentation from third party funding sources (i.e. YourCause, Benevity, United Way, etc.), in addition to facilitating and processing matching gifts
  • Manage pledge payment tracking, reminders, and follow-up process for multi-year donors
  • Create reports/dashboards to inform the development team and CEO of fundraising progress
  • Reconcile all gifts with the Finance team
  • Assist with all individual giving solicitation and stewardship strategies
  • Supports Director of Grants Administration as needed, with prospect research, documentation, grants calendar, etc.
  • Supports the planning and execution of special events, including Hob Nob (a donor recognition event), lunch and learns, and other Care Ring-lead events as needed
  • Processes department vendor invoices for payment, as well as ordering and maintaining supplies for the department
  • Participate in fundraising and cultivation outreach, projects, and events
  • Perform other duties as needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably Business, Non-Profit Management, Public Administration, Communications or related field
  • Proven experience in fundraising with experience in database entry, preferably 1-3 years


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Raiser’s Edge/RENXT experience, highly desirable, or similar donor database system
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to think strategically
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and be able to start and resume work on projects, amid changing priorities, with capacity to meet deadlines
  • Work independently and as a team player
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Personal commitment to our mission


WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • The Development Associate will work on-site with remote work opportunities as negotiated with direct supervisor.
  • Occasionally working evenings and weekends as needed to support development events
