Position Summary
The E-Commerce Specialist supports and improves inside office operations, including accounting support. This role works closely with the management team to grow online sales by managing the e-commerce website and social media channels, creating marketing content, coordinating with vendors, analyzing business performance, and supporting inventory, purchasing, and shipping operations.
Key Responsibilities
Sales, Marketing & Merchandising

Work closely with the management team on sales, marketing, merchandising, and purchasing plans, and brainstorm new strategies in line with Standard Operating Procedures to increase sales and better serve customers.

Conduct market research and prepare comprehensive reports with recommendations for new products and sales and marketing ideas.

Manage and control cost, inventory, merchandising, and the purchasing process for products.
E-Commerce & Social Media

Manage and update the e-commerce website and SNS accounts, publishing photos, videos, item descriptions, inventory, and all other necessary information to maximize sales results.

Design, build, edit, maintain, and refine the company's social media presence; actively engage with audiences on each platform to drive higher conversions.

Create content and creative assets for social media accounts and other marketing efforts, including newsletters.

Manage, coordinate, and collaborate with vendors on e-commerce website optimization, sales, marketing, and merchandising needs.
Reporting & Analysis

Coordinate and prepare reports on business transactions and trends using numerical analysis.
Operations & Warehouse Support

Prepare merchandise for shipping and complete shipping documents.

Inspect incoming shipments upon arrival and participate in physical inventory counts as needed.

Organize and clean the warehouse and merchandise rooms.

Organize files and folders on the company server and online storage services.

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
-
Experience managing e-commerce websites and social media accounts (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok).

Ability to create content and creative assets, including product photos, short videos, and newsletters.

Strong numerical and analytical skills; ability to prepare reports on sales and business trends.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace and comfort with online storage and file organization.

Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills; ability to work with management and outside vendors.

Ability to perform physical warehouse tasks, including inspecting shipments, packing merchandise, and participating in inventory counts.
Preferred
-
Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify), SNS analytics tools, and basic photo/video editing software.

Background in merchandising, purchasing, inventory control, or basic accounting.

Familiarity with Japanese products and food culture; Japanese language ability is a plus.
