Job Summary

We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician I to support a large-scale PC refresh and technology deployment project.

The technician will be responsible for deploying and configuring Windows desktops and laptops, installing peripherals, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and providing hands-on technical support to end users. This is an onsite role requiring strong customer service and technical troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy and configure Windows desktop and laptop systems.
  • Perform PC imaging, hardware setup, configuration, and peripheral installation.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, and workstation issues.
  • Provide onsite technical support to end users during equipment deployments.
  • Replace and configure desktop/laptop hardware as part of PC refresh activities.
  • Maintain accurate deployment records and technical documentation.
  • Update service tickets with troubleshooting details, status, and resolution information.
  • Track assigned IT assets and equipment throughout the deployment process.
  • Follow established procedures for system deployment, configuration, and support.
  • Provide professional and responsive customer service to end users.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Desktop Support, PC Deployment, or a related IT support role.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows imaging, desktop hardware, and troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and common desktop applications.
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory.
  • Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work onsite and handle multiple deployment tasks efficiently.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License or ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check and fingerprinting process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting enterprise-level PC refresh or desktop deployment projects.
  • Experience working on large-scale technology refresh initiatives.
  • Knowledge of SCCM, MDT, Microsoft Intune, or Windows Autopilot.
  • Experience with asset tracking and deployment documentation.
  • Previous experience in enterprise or public-sector IT environments.
